Counting
How to count your panes
Stand outside and count the pieces of glass on one wall.
A one-over-one window
Two panes: the upper sash and the lower.
A six-over-six window
Twelve panes. Count the squares, not the windows.
A picture window or a slider
One pane each, or one for each moving panel.
A bay
Count each section. We'll sort the center from the sides.

About the quote
How is the price decided?
By the pane. You get a written price for each kind of pane you have, inside and out or outside only, plus the screens. A visit under the minimum is brought up to the minimum, and the quote says so on its own line.
What counts as a pane?
One sheet of glass. A one-over-one double-hung window has two panes, a six-over-six has twelve, a picture window has one. If you can't tell, text a photo and we will count them for you.
Do I need to be home?
Someone needs to let us in the first time and walk the house with us. After that, you can leave a key or a code with us in writing and we text you when we arrive and when we leave. Outside-only visits don't need anyone home, as long as the gate and screens are reachable.
